Why worry when you can praise Him?

Hey beautiful, radiant, astonishing ladies! I am excited for this particular blog because this blog hits home for me. A few weeks ago, I had been struggling with these two words that carry so much meaning: “trust and worship.” For the past week I have been trying to wrap my head around what God is doing in my life. I have been “prayer-fully” worrying. Lol! You are probably thinking “Sierra that’s ridiculous you can’t pray and worry,” but sweet girl you do it all the time. So many times, we wake up in the morning and our thoughts of our worth and being enough flood our minds. We wonder if we will ever be enough, and truthfully, we will never be enough for this world. In fact, we do not belong in this world— so when you feel your insecurities creeping in, know that you are simply and wonderfully made for more. You are His, and that is enough. If you feel as if the world doesn’t accept you, you are probably doing something right. Jesus is not of this world, but He came down to this world to save us from our sins. He came and was born in this world to set us free. He was nailed to the cross, so He could nail our sins, diseases, pains, insecurities, hurt, and worry. With this being said, the word “worry” screamed at me as I realized how much I worry. Worrying is equivalent to telling God that He isn’t capable of doing what He said He will do. Worrying puts us looking at our own circumstances and has us disregarding what God is so desperately wanting to offer us. Sweet girls, worrying won’t make Jesus come any faster and worrying won’t fix your situation. What I learned is that I shouldn’t worry when I can praise Him! Yes, sometimes it’s easier said than done, but it is worth it. When I feel as if my worry is taking over, instead of going deeper into the confusion and pain of my thoughts, I stop, I breathe, and I say, “I am blessed, and I will count every blessing, I will let go and trust even when I cannot see.” At first this wasn’t easy, but I kept letting my praise win over my habit of worry. I kept letting God know that He will win my battle and I will sit back and trust Him because He is good. He is so good, and He will not fail me, and I will not allow my worry to get in the way of what God’s goodness is wanting and planning to offer me. Now beautiful ladies, His goodness is offering you the same freedom. When He says He will be the peace and the trust for your brokenness, He meant it. Everything Jesus say—you can take to the bank. He is so good!! What He is offering you is something that will last you an eternity. What the world offers you is a minute of pleasure and you are back to feeling empty again. For God, it is impossible to leave you feeling empty because when He comes through He overflows your cup. He will always leave you better than He found you. You will be fulfilled because He brings fulfillment. He brings that joy that so many of you crave. It isn’t too late to go and get that joy that only He can give and only you can receive by Him and through Him. What He offers is good. There is something powerful about turning your worry into praise. I am not going to let my worry limit God’s capability. Repeat that to yourself and let that be your anthem as you continue on this life’s journey. He is showing you through little things in life that He is in them. He is also in your circumstance and He sees the pain it is causing you, He is here to take it. Your worry shows that you have control over your circumstance and are doing this whole “life” thing on your own. My prayer for you is to give it ALL to Him—your happiest moments to your darkest moments. Whether it is your joys or your sorrows. He wants to be there for you in the good and the bad. He wants to cry with you, laugh with you, love with you, and experience this outrageously, beautiful, authentic, joyous life with you. You won’t feel full until you let Him fill you. He will take away the pain and be your inexpressible, undeniable joy.
